McKellars Hit Mackay for their Annual Holiday

Yesterday we landed @ 5:00 grabbed our car drove to the Hotel. The girls in one room Doogs and Heidi in the lounge. The girls were very excited to find they had their own TV so of course we had to let them watch for a little while. Not a good idea after dinner it was stories and bed - they were so excited it took me patting them to sleep at 9:10 so that I could go to bed!!! 3:50 Chasely woke! I was not a happy chappy but....it has not affected our day today thankfully.
The photos will show the fun we have had expending all of that excited energy the girls have being on a holiday.
First stop Marina for a quick Tour from Doogs. Then to Slade Point as you do when your name is Slade. There at the point was a beach full of Stones - if you know Slade then she was in seventh heaven!






























Next stop Cape Hillsborough. 30 minutes North of Mackay. A Beautiful National Park with a gorgeous beach. The girls had a brilliant time running in the sand, scrapping together crab sand balls and exploring.

It was then a boardwalk through the mangroves and the day being cold and wet called for a stop on the way home at The Old Station House (yes we managed to find a Train station in the middle of nowhere) for Devonshire teas :)
The weather has been not brilliant however it has not rained when we have been outside the car so we really can't complain. The wind however has been a little cool - just as well we all have good jackets/jumpers.
