Every meal was two or three courses so we were never kept hungry for long, there was also always a table set out for us by the time we arrived at camp or lunch.
We visited many ruins along the way and Jose´was always there to educate us in the Inkan history and culture. This was one of the better examples of the terraces that they built for their argriculture (Intipata).
Our last night on the trail was Winaywayna (tent city where 500 people were camping). There was everything we needed to clean up (hot showers were a welcome relief) and relax including a well earned drink.
After a freshen up and rest we had our `Happy hour´ (hot drinks and snacks) then a quick explore of the Winaywayna ruins, where we saw this magnificent sunset on the Veronica mountain range.
Wow, the terraces are magnificent! And no wonder you felt like kings sitting down to a table like that at the end of a day. Last but not least the sunset photo is breathtaking I would love a copy when you get home.
