We were lucky to have been in the main square at the time that there was a parade of kindergarten children celebrating the anniversary of kindergarten.
We spent the time in AC soaking up the non vehicular atmosphere and getting Bill’s boot mended in only 10 minutes!
We then caught a vista dome train to Ollantaytambo then bus back to Cusco. On the train we stopped just before the end of the line (currently being fixed after the landslides in January wiped them out) and a number of children came out of nowhere to ask for food!
